Unisex tubular scarf / sleeve for EMF protection of head and neck, made from Black-Jersey material, with a metallic shimmer on one side. Black-Jersey is a high-quality compact cotton fabric with high silver content for HF+LF shielding. Soft and light material, comfortable to wear for day, office, travel or at night; it is very flexible and easily adapts to various shapes due to the typical elasticity of the jersey material; has a very high screening attenuation for a fabric with such a high cotton content. Due to the high content of Silver, the material is very durable and has high washability without attenuation loss and can be ironed.
Can be worn in several ways:
- as a protection for the head, either cap, snood or bandana style
- as a protection for the neck and thyroid
- as a protection for the mouth, nose and neck
- as head and neck protection if 2 pieces are worn together, or with the beanie
Composition: 83 % cotton, 17 % silver thread. Does not contain any nano silver, but a thick metallic silver coating; weight: 165 g/m²
Cleaning & care instructions: wash with special detergent for delicate fabrics without enzymes or bleaching agents (which can have a negative effect on the shielding attenuation), gentle cycle at 30o C, iron without steam at degree 1, no tumble drying, no bleaching, no chemical dry-cleaning
Caution: the fabric can suffer discoloration over time and has limited durability; stains have no effect on the screening attenuation; all Silver fabrics have a limited durability, depending on the frequency of movement and washing.
Technical data: Black Jersey has an attenuation of 40 dB, electrically conductive on both sides, surface conductivity: 3 ohm / inch (2.54 cm).
The above mentioned screening attenuation values always apply to 1Ghz. The screening attenuation of the fabric is regularly tested in an EMC laboratory, the measurement setups are due to the following standards: ASTM D4935-10, IEEE Std 299-2006, IEEEE Std 1128-1998, ASTM A698/A698M-07.
